SALVADOR CARNIVAL TRIOS / BLOCOS
A bloco is a Carnival organization, that might have one or more Trios. A Trio is a big truck where the bands play while the truck goes by the main streets parade. There are different music styles play by the Artists, in drumming style the best are Olodum and Timbalada, on Axe/Pop style is Coruja (with Ivete Sangalo as main artist) and Crocodilo (with Daniela Mercury), for Pagode and Samba Psirico and Motumba are good Trios. One that offers a good example of the typical big, synthy, commercial bloco sound all too prevalent during Carnival is Cheiro de Amor (Smell of Love).
